Lesson plan on english grammar topic 'Picture composition'

Class: 2                                                                                    Topic: Composition

Subject:English                                                                       Period required: 2-3

 

SUBJECT OBJECTIVE :

·        To develop students interest about grammar.

·        They get knowledge about the skills of grammar.

·        They will be able to recall and recognize the different parts of speech.

LESSON OBJECTIVE :

Students will be able to

·        Students will be able to describe a picture.

·        Students will be able to use details in picture to make prediction .

·        They will be able to describe the  details  of picture in a sentence.

·        They will be able to discuss ideas, events  and information about the picture.

Activity I Pk testing: Teacher will begin the lesson by discussing  the Passage:

1. What do you mean by picture composition?

2. What are prediction?

3. How do picture help us to make prediction?

4. What is picture writing ?

5. Can you write a description of a picture?

 Announcement of the Topic: After this discussion teacher will tell students that today they will have the opportunity to show how much they know about letters and reading.

Activity II:

  • Teacher will hand out the Vocabulary Cards to students.
  • Tell students that in the introduction they made predictions. Predictions are what you think will happen. Making predictions helps us to pay attention to stories we listen to and stories we read.
  • We use pictures, or the drawings in books, to learn about what might happen in a story. Pictures give us clues, or ideas, about books.
  • When we make predictions, it's important to explain, or describe, why we think our predictions might be true. We can use picture clues to help us make our points.

Activity III Now teacher will hand out a book to each student. Have them look through the pictures in the book. As they go through the picture, they will give key information about the picture. They can also write sentences on their  notebooks to remember what the pictures show.

Evaluation:  Teacher will asses their knowledge by taking  some  written test.

D.Separate worksheet will be given to complete with the help of picture.
